Congratulations to Palo Alto University (PAU) on the launch of their new website on October 1, 2014!

The new site includes:

  1. a clean, on-brand and fully responsive design – a major improvement over the former site;
  2. space dedicated to their unique mix of academic programs offered at a variety of campuses in the Bay Area;
  3. integrated social media and large format photography; and,
  4. a CMS that empowers PAU to make changes to their site, no longer needing to call a freelancer to make basic edits.

The team at Palo Alto is a pleasure to work with and they totally rocked the content migration phase. 1,000 pages were added in less than 1 month, allowing them to fully retire their old site when the new site went live.

Palo Alto’s site is powered by an mStoner web strategy and the Buzzr Higher Ed CMS platform, which combines the power of Drupal with a vastly simplified user interface for non-technical contributors. It’s a great option for institutions who need more out of their website but have limited resources and a small web team.

While working on the Palo Alto implementation, we completely upgraded Buzzr for optimal performance and page load times. We:

  • beefed up the web servers that run Buzzr Higher Ed sites;
  • installed a load balancing server; and,
  • implemented Drupal and Varnish caching.

Buzzr Higher Ed pages now load lightning fast, even when compared to web giants Amazon and Google.

In addition to the continued evolution of the platform, we now shift our attention to adding new client partners. If you think Buzzr Higher Ed might be a good fit for you, sign up here for a demonstration.
